Can I rent a specific vehicle model with SolCar?

Our reservations are linked to a category, not to specific vehicles or models. When calculating the rental price, we present you the possible types of vehicles for each group.

What are the age requirements for renting?

The minimum age of the driver is 21 years old, with a driving licence for more than 3 years. Drivers under 25 years of age or with a driving licence between 1 and 4 years will pay an extra €8 incl. VAT per day, with a maximum of €160 incl. VAT per rental.

What documents do I need to rent a car with SolCar?

When you collect the vehicle, we will ask for your ID card or passport, driving licence and credit card.

Is it possible to cross borders and move abroad?

SolCar allows the departure of the vehicle to the following countries: Germany, France, England, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Andorra and Monaco. The departure of vehicles to countries other than those mentioned above is expressly prohibited. Departures abroad shall be permitted from any of the SolCar offices. To extend the insurance cover, €12.10 (incl. VAT) per day is payable on collection of the vehicle. The minimum charge is € 36,30 incl. VAT.

Who can drive the rented vehicle?

The only persons allowed to drive the vehicle are those authorised in the rental contract. Any person not included in the contract will be excluded from the insurance cover.
